A visual treat for you on December 31

The fireworks specialist, who has turned many Bollywood parties into memorable ones with his amazing skills of fireworks, is all set to make the December 31 night a memorable one for visitors at Kankaria carnival. The visitors will get a scintillating visual treat (of fireworks) usually seen in Europe and America.

Firework is one of the major attractions at the ongoing carnival. At present, the firework lasts for around five minutes every night. But on the night of December 31, the sky above the Kankaria lake will be lighted with fireworks lasting for a longer time. "We want to make the December 31 night a different one," said Rajesh Vyas, who has been roped in for fireworks at Kankaria Carnival by AMC.

Vyas will use the firework technology that was used in New York at a function to mark Republic Day.  Vyas who has been in this business for four generations has entertained many high-profile guests at Bollywood parties.

"Starting from Boby Deol's marriage function to the recently held Shilpa Shetty's marriage function, we have done fireworks at various Bollywood functions," he said. The other attractions on December 31 at the lake will include golden umbrella and waterfall. 

Talking about the precautions taken during the show, Vyas said that the direction of the wind as well as the distance from the audience is taken into consideration.

"Instead of manually firing the crackers, we use remote control," he said. He also added that it is mandatory to visit the place in advance to check whether the surrounding areas are vulnerable to fire.
