Two years ago, everything seemed to be going downhill for Ravi Krishnan an outed affair that broke up his marriage, a scandal that triggered his exit from IMG, an end to his asociation with some truly fantastic properties he was instrumental in “creating, nurturing and commercialising” the Chennai Open, Lakme Fashion Week and the Indian Premier League. The long break in Australia brought him back ready and refreshed for the most important project of them all reinventing and repositioning himself in the game, both personally and professionally.

He’s not only managed to make peace with former wife Bandana Tewari and happily settle into a steady relationship with South African girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades, his tentative start-up with old pal Shane Bilsborough is now taking him right back to the top of the game. Among the many heavyweight corporates who’ve taken a fancy for the innovative wellness venture he’s started include Anand Mahindra, Priya Paul and Deepak Parekh. The idea was simplicity itself encouraging people to walk but Krishnan’s incredible marketing acumen have turned it into a veritable fitness movement that’s raking in the moolah. Now that’s what we call “stepping up” to a challenge.
