This Navratri, Sonal Ved shares tips that will help you wear your backless choli in the best way possible Navratri is the time to down your hair and dress up in traditional finery. While the season's official dress code has always been the mirror work chaniya, the highlight is the sexy choli that never goes out of style. You can team it with denims, a batik-printed skirt or palazzo pants. Here are different ways to help you get a sexy back before you don that backless number:

Get a massage
Indulge your back with a soothing massage as prep up. Massages done with healing herbal oils stimulate the energy flow of the body, tone muscles and relieve soreness so you can flex your back well. Apart from kneading the contours, massages also open knots that cause aches and pains - this will help with all the dance moves that require twisting and turning of the torso.

Treat your back to a scrub
Be it halters, low-backs, off-shoulders or backless, wearing a choli requires a smooth back. Rough it out with a back scrub in order to get rid of all the dead skin cells to reveal fresh skin underneath. You can try a homely salt scrub using Himalayan sea salt. The crystals emit beneficial negative ions when warmed and gently scrubbed on your skin. This not only detoxifies the back but also works toward screating a velveteen texture. Apart from salt, ingredients such as powdered almond meal, sugar crystals also work as wonderful homescrubs.

Wrap your back in a masque
To get rid of unsightly back-acne or blemishes, back wraps can workwonders. Treat your back to a masque that uses ingredients such as sea weed, marine algae, green tea, rose extracts, gotu kola and other natural derivatives that have nourishing properties. This can help in detoxification, improving circulation, reducing cellulite and improving skin tone.

Workouts and stretches
Warm up stretching that gears you up for the rigorous dance routine is essential for your back's health. General focus on posture, yoga aasanas and flexibility exercises will not only aid your moves but will also help you pose for that perfect selfie.

Homemade quick-fixes
To even skin tone, dip a cotton ball in some cold milk and dab it gently on your skin. Rinse your back with warm water to reveal polished skin. Milk treats pigmentation and gives a healthy glow to the back. If you have dry skin, mash banana with yogurt and form a thick paste. Apply this on your back and allow it to slightly dry. Rinse off with warm water.
