Teenager killed in Kota road accident

A 17-year-old youth was late on Tuesday killed while his friend of about same age sustained severe injuries after the scooter they were riding on rammed from behind into a heavily loaded stationary truck, parked on the wrong side of the road near cable bridge under Kunhari police station area of the city. The body was handed over to the family members after postmortem today morning while the other injured is undergoing medical treatment at a private hospital.

The deceased teen was identified as Muktak Jain (17), a resident of Parshavnath Farm of the city, said Srichand Singh, Circle in-Charge (CI), Kunhari police station. The deceased teen along with his friend Sanjay Jain (about 17 -18) had gone on scooter to visit cable bridge yesterday afternoon when their scooter rammed from behind into a heavily loaded stationary truck, the CI said. The two sustained severe injuries in the mishap and were rushed to a private hospital where Muktak Jain succumbed to his injuries late in the evening, he said. The other one is still undergoing treatment, he added.
