Kota: Rape accused sent to judicial custody

A 23-year-old youth was late on Tuesday night arrested for allegedly raping a 20-year-old girl of Kota city and was produced before the court that ordered to send him to jail under judicial custody.

The youth identified as Aabid Hussain, a resident of Rajiv colony in Nainwa town of Bundi district was on Tuesday arrested for allegedly raping a 20-year-old girl of Kota city, told SHO at Vigyan Nagar police station Neeraj Gupta. The accused was produced before the court that ordered to send him to jail under judicial custody, he added.

The victim, a student of BSc on Sunday approached Vigyan Nagar police station and lodged a report against Aabid Hussain for allegedly blackmailing and raping her on the bases of photos and video clips that he had secretly taken in his mobile, the SHO said. 

The victim alleged in the complaint that the accused befriended her about seven to eight months ago on social media sites and later started meeting her. One day, the accused called her at his place and offered her intoxication laced edible substance after which she fell unconscious and the accused filmed her vulgar video and clicked photographs, the victim stated in her complaint, said the SHO. 

The accused, on the bases of her videos clips and pictures, blackmailed her for physical relations and also demanded Rs 20-30,000 cash and threatened her to upload the video and photos on social media sites if she refused.
