Jhunjhunu’s Bhagwan Das Khetan government hospital is best in the state. After a survey by health department’s central and state team, the district hospital has been given top ranking.

The ranking is part of a Kayakalp programme for improving condition of district hospitals in the state. The hospital staff celebrated the news by offering sweets to each other. The hospital was front runner for the number one position for lst three years and finally achieved it. In the first year, the hospital got consolation prize; following year, it came third.

However, the hospital continued efforts for improvement to achieve number one position in the state.

Other health institutes also got prizes for cleanliness and service. Baggar CHC got second position and Rs 10 lakh cash prize for maintaining hygiene and efficient service in Community health center category. CHHO, Dr Subhash Kholia said that in a tough competition among district hospitals, the BDK hospital got 98.08 marks while Baggar CHC obtained 97.20 marks in CHC category.

Bisau CHC came third, Mahansar bagged 7th position, Gudhagorji 24th and Udaipurwati came 29th. Dr Kholia congratulated nodal officer Dr Dayanand Singh, BDK hospital’s PMO Dr Shishram Gothwal and the entire staff including in charge of Bagggar CHC Dr Juglal Budania. RCHO and Nodal officer of Kayakalp programme, Dr Dayanand Singh said that several other PHC’s in the district are hopeful of getting consolation prize.
