Jaipur discom has started the spot billing and monthly billing system in Jaipur city circle with the beginning of the new year and residents have now started getting bills.
City residents have started getting the spot bills of the electricity connections from this month. The residents have been getting the bill in the form of a long slip which has all the details including the meter reading, consumption done during the month, K number etc details like in the previous bill are also there.
Officials of Jaipur discom city circle informed that there has not been any complaint from the consumer over this new system of issuing bills in the city circle. Jaipur discom has started the spot billing and monthly billing system in Jaipur city circle with the beginning of the new year and residents have now started getting bills.
The consumers who had been issued electricity bills in the month of December have got month bill in January. The consumers who have issued bills in November, as per the billing cycle, will get two months bill in January. After that, all the consumers of the Jaipur city circle will be in the same bill cycle and all the consumers will get one monthly bill from February. A few days back, Jaipur discom had reviewed the monthly spot billing system.
Managing director of Jaipur discom AK Gupta had ordered the officials to cross-check the complaints related to billing which are coming at various subdivision offices by executive engineers and assistant engineers so that they are not repeated and are solved. It has also been ordered to take the feedback from the consumers on the complaints.
The billing company has been ordered that the payment made by the consumers of their electricity bills must be promptly updated. The officials have been told that the responsibility to ensure that the updation of the payment of electricity bill has been done in the payment system will lie with the executive engineer, assistant engineer and the assistant revenue officer.
