Class X girl abducted from Bundi, rescued within hrs from city

A class 10th minor girl, a resident of Badanaya Gaun village of Bundi district and studying in a private school of Bundi city was on Tuesday morning allegedly abducted by the unidentified youths in Bolero from Bundi city bus stand.

On the report and intervention by the minister of state for sports and youth affairs Ashok Chandna into the matter, the police machinery swung into action from Bundi to Jaipur and the abducted girl was rescued within five hours from Sindhi Camp bus stand in the city and is being brought to Bundi.

An about 15-year-old girl, was allegedly abducted in Bundi city after she had got off a jeep from Badanaya Gaun, told deputy superintendent of police [DSP] Samandar Singh Champawat. 

The abducted girl somehow managed to send an SMS about her abduction to her sister through her mobile that she reportedly kept in her school bag on silent mode, following which the family members lodged a complaint with the police, he said adding police immediately swung into action to trace the girl’s location.  The police teams tracked her mobile location and the girl was within hours traced near Niwai town following which police in Jaipur was informed about the incident, the DSP said.

The police team in Jaipur spotted the girl later at around 1 o’clock on Tuesday outside Sindhi Camp bus stand following which she was rescued safe and is on the way to Bundi, the DSP said. How many accused were involved in the abduction and was the motive behind it would be clear only after the inquiry with the girl who would reach here by evening, he further added. The immediate action by police and timely coordination among the police teams from Bundi to Jaipur helped rescue the girl within a brief span of about five hours, the DSP said.

State minister for sports and youth affairs, Ashok Chandna was informed about the abduction and the minister immediately called the senior police officers in Jaipur to tighten security at check posts on the way to Jaipur from Bundi, told Parmeshwar Jhanwar, a social worker in Bundi who accompanied the family members of girl in police station to lodge the report. 

The police at Mahila police station of the city was not ready to lodge the report following which the family members approached him and he immediately sought help from the minister Ashok Chandna, who instantly acted on the complaint and called the senior police officers in Jaipur, Jhanwar said.
