These temples have religious sanctity and quite popular among devotees of Lord Krishna in both Gujarat and Rajasthan. Tourism department has released work order for the first phase of Rs 91crore plan for five temples in Rajasthan.
Three months ago funds were released for renovation of Govind Dev ji and other temples in the vicinity, Charan temple at Nahargarh, Srinath ji temple at Nathdwara, Galta ji and Khatu Shyam ji. Pilgrims will get everything and much more than they expect, which includes locker facility, alternative routes, signage, CCTV, Wi-Fi, high mast lights, shopping arcade, light and sound show, cafeteria and shades.
The central government has included every place related to Lord Krishna on the Krishna circuit to promote religious tourism. The tourism ministry has transferred Rs 60 crore as first instalment to Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation, which has issued tenders and work orders worth Rs 52 crore for Govind Dev ji, Galta ji, Khatu Shyam ji and Srinath ji. The money approved for the project will also be spent on Jai Niwas and Pondrik Park, Kanak Vrindavan.
