Two persons held, adulterated milk recovered in Uttar Pradesh

Two persons were arrested and 200litres of adulterated milk was recovered from their possession at Malwali village in Hathras district today, police said here.

The accused Bhola alias Umashankar and Pappu were arrested during a police raid, they said, adding the duo confessed that they used to supply the adulterated milk to nearby areas. Police recovered 200litres of synthetic milk along with refined oil, urea and other chemicals from the spot.

Earlier in the month, two persons allegedly manufacturing adulterated milk were arrested by the police from Mirechi area.

District-wide raids were being conducted to check supply and usage of synthetic products in view of ongoing festive season.
