Two men were arrested in the capital for allegedly stealing Rs 3.25 lakh and credit cards from a tent house where they were employed, police said today.

Anand Thakur (35) and Brahamdev (19), both hailing from Bihar's Katihar, were caught on Friday, a day after they committed burglary at Kakkar Tent House.

Police have recovered Rs 80,000 and stolen credit cards from them, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) HGS Dhaliwal said.

During investigation, it was learnt that few employees who had worked at the tent house could be involved in the theft.

"It also came to light that some employees had earlier been arrested in theft cases and few of them used to go to Dasna jail to meet one of their associates lodged there," he  said.

Three of them -- Anand Thakur, Anand and Brahmdev -- were identified as prime suspects as they had disappeared from the area mysteriously, he said. A raid was conducted at their rented house in Kotla Mubarakpur but they could not be traced.

However, Thakur and Brahmdev were caught on Friday when they were trying to go to their village. Anand, the third accused, had left Delhi a day before with maximum booty.

"Thakur and Brahmdev who gained the confidence of the owner, had passed on the information to the absconding accused," he said.
