A man was killed and three others were injured when a landmine, allegedly planted by insurgents, exploded in interior Chandel district of Manipur, official reports said today.

Reports said the landmine went off yesterday at hilly Aigejang village near Manipur-Myanmar border.

The dead was identified as James Zou (15) while the injured were Sokhlun Haokip (20), Tineng Haokip (42) and Ngapao Haokip (20), reports said.

The injured admitted to the Regional Institute of Medical Science and Hospital.

The landmine might have been planted by insurgents to attack security personnel passing through the area.
