Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar today laid the foundation stone of Rs 391.79 crore Bihita-Sarmera road that would link the eastern part of the state capital from the western flank.

The Bihta-Sarmera road was being constructed with the help of Asian Development Bank and other international banks, the chief minister said.

He claimed that the ADB, World Bank and other international funding agencies were not ready to invest in Bihar earlier but they agreed to put their money here after watching the changed scenario.

Kumar citicised union ministers for stating that the state government was not providing the utilization certificate for the funds released by the Centre.

"Where is the extra money which the state has received from the Centre," he asked.
