Narcotic smuggler arrested in Jammu; heroin seized

A narcotic smuggler was arrested and 500 grams of heroin worth Rs50 lakhs in international market was recovered from his possession, a senior official said today.

On specific information, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) sleuths arrested Balbir Singh in Bakshi Nagar area of Jammu city yesterday, bureau director MK Sharma said.

Singh, hailing from Gole Gujral area of the city and a truck driver, allegedly used to smuggle narcotics from Srinagar, he said, adding a case has been registered against him.
