As a part of his nationwide 'Kashmir Bachao Abhiyan' under the 'India First' campaign, national president of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) and BJP member of parliament, Anurag Thakur, visited Ahmedabad on Friday.

He talked about various political issues and criticized the UPA government for its recent corruption scams.
Ahmedabad was the 30th leg of Thakur's nationwide tour.

Talking about his campaign he said, "When a young man took charge of Jammu and Kashmir as its chief minister, we had hoped that he would ensure the state's integrity with our country, but he has disappointed us. Now Omar Abdullah is speaking the language of separatists."

Taking potshots at the J&K CM, he said, "He wants to bring back the youth from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir who have crossed the border in order to get training in terrorism. He wants to cut the powers of the army in the state by lifting the Armed Forces Special Power Act and wants security forces to be shifted from the state."

He further said, "We are focusing on this issue and the aim of our campaign is to make the youth of the country aware of the need to save Kashmir and if needed, we will stage a long march to the state and will hoist our national flag in the Lal Chowk of Srinagar once again."

Earlier, while interacting with the media, Thakur referred to the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attacks and pointed out delays in Kasab's trial and the execution of Afzal Guru's death sentence.

He criticized Congress leaders and the stand of the party against its tainted leaders facing corruption charges.

However, when asked about the BJP's stand on Yedurappa in Karnataka, the BJP MP did not give a satisfactory reply.
