66-year-old German dies onboard Bangkok-Dubai Emirates flight

The plane landed at IGI airport around 12.50 pm and a doctor and an ambulance was rushed immediately, but after examination the doctor declared the passenger dead and his body was taken out of the plane.

A 66-year-old German national died onboard an Emirates plane after he fell sick on way to Dubai from Bangkok, prompting the pilot to declare medical emergency.

"German national Hoffman, who boarded Emirates flight EK 375 from Bangkok to Dubai, developed some complication when the aircraft was flying over Indian airspace," DCP (IGI) OP Mishra told PTI.

He said the pilot declared medical emergency and asked the ATC to allow the aircraft to land.

The plane landed at IGI airport around 12.50 pm and a doctor and an ambulance was rushed immediately, Mishra said, adding after the examination the doctor declared the passenger dead and his body was taken out of the plane.

"His body has been preserved and German Embassy here has been informed about his death," Mishra said.
