Youth beaten up by family members of girl

A youth was allegedly tied to a tree and badly beaten up by family members of a girl with whom he had gone to meet at her village in Rajasthan's Alwar district.

Vedprakash Meena (20) was caught in the house of the girl in Malavli village on Saturday.

The family members of the girl tied him to a tree and beat him badly, SHO of Laxmangarh Police station Sachin Kumar said today.

On information by locals, police rescued him and rushed him to a nearby hospital.

He was later referred to a hospital in Jaipur, he said.

The girl's family has lodged an FIR against Meena for trespass.

No FIR from Meena's side has been lodged so far, he added.
