Six gets Cabinet rank in Uttar Pradesh government reshuffle

A total of twenty-three MLAs were inducted as new ministers in the Uttar Pradesh government as Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expanded his cabinet on Wednesday. Out of the 23, six of them have been given the rank of cabinet ministers in what was the first reshuffle in the state. Among those who were administered the oath of office and secrecy were Cabinet ministers, Mahendra Singh, Bhupendra Singh Choudhary, Ram Naresh Agnihotri, Suresh Rana, Anil Rajbhar and Kamla Rani.

Ministers with Independent Charge - Neel Kanth Tiwari, Kapil Dev Agarwal, Satish Dwivedi, Ashok Kataria, Ram Chouhan and Raveendra Jaiswal.

Ministers of State - Anil Sharma, Mahendra Gupta, Anand Swarup Shukla, Vijay Kashyap, Giraj Singh Dharmesh, Lakhan Singh Rajput, Neelima Katiyar, Ch Uday Bhan Singh, Chandrika Prasad Upadhyay, Ramshankar Singh Patel and Ajit Singh Pal.

Sources revealed that names of new ministers were finalised after talks between Yogi Adityanath, UP BJP chief Swatantra Dev Singh and state BJP organisational secretary Sunil Bansal at the chief minister's official residence in Lucknow.
