Results Lok Sabha Elections 2014: AAP leads in 4 seats in Punjab; SAD-BJP in 5 seats

In a surprising trend, AAP, which is making a debut in this Lok Sabha elections, is leading in four out of 13 seats in Punjab in the initial rounds. While ruling SAD-BJP alliance was leading in five seats, the Congress was leading in four seats as per trends available.

Senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley was trailing behind former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh in the Amritsar Lok Sabha constituency. Jaitley was trailing by over 1800 votes, according to initial trends at 9:00 am. 

Meanwhile, in Anandpur Sahib constituency Congress, veteran Ambika Soni was trailing to her SAD rival Prem Singh Chandumajra. Union minister Preneet Kaur, wife of Amarinder Singh was also trailing to her AAP rival Dharamvira Gandhi.
