Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday had claimed that Lt-Governor Najeeb Jung was likely to invite the BJP to form government in Delhi and called it a 'horse trading' trick by BJP.
In a series of tweets, Kejriwal alleged that the L-G would be encouraging horse trading by inviting the BJP as the party lacks majority in the house and would have to poach on MLAs from the opposition to be in a position to form the government. Even AAP leader Manish Sisodia came forward and questioned Narendra Modi, "Want to ask Modi on what grounds BJP will form Govt in Delhi when they still dont have the nos?."
Putting a strong rebuttal, Rajnath Singh said, "BJP never indulged in horse trading, nor will we ever indulge in it."

....... Shudn't LG first ask for a list of supporting MLAs? Else wudn't LG be seen to be acting partisan?

If a party (BJP) has once already declined the offer to form govt - can the LG invite the same party in the existing vidhan sabha again ?

Can LG afford not to invite BJP? Else, won't he be transferred or removed, as happened to other guvs?

Prior to this, Kejriwal had claimed that the BJP was trying to buy Congress MLAs after failing to buy AAP MLAs post elections.
He had tweeted: 'After failing to buy any AAP MLA, BJP now trying to buy 6 Cong MLAs. Price Rs 20 crore each, 2 ministers and 4 chairmen'.
Kejriwal who was former Delhi chief minister demanded that the L-G should first seek a list of MLAs supporting the BJP. He also alleged that Majeeb Jung would be removed if he doesn’t agree to toe the BJP line on the matter. He clearly stated other leaders who had lost their positions under alleged pressure when they refrained from toeing the line. After Kejriwal quit over Lok pal issue, President's Rule was imposed in Delhi on February 17.
Senior party leader and MLA from Janakpuri Jagdish Mukhi is believed to the frontrunner for the CM's post as reported by news agencies.
The BJP had won 31 seats in the assembly polls in December last year but its strength came down to 28 in the 70-member house after three of its legislators Harsh Vardhan, Ramesh Bidhuri and Pervesh Verma were elected to Lok Sabha. BJP's ally Akali Dal has one seat.
Congress MLA Haroon Yusuf, however, accused the BJP of spreading rumours and said there was no split in the party.
Here's what Kejriwal had said:
*BJP is resorting to dishonest and highly unethical methods of trying to form the government by offering Rs 20 crore each to many MLAs. Is this democracy? It is completely wrong
*If the BJP forms the government using such illegitimate methods and by spending hundreds of crores, then such a dishonest government will only increase your electricity bills, indulge in corruption and price rise.
*Would a government formed through dishonest means like horse-trading be able to provide safety for women?.
BJP all set to form government in Delhi
The Delhi BJP is in the final stages of winning over six out of eight Congress MLAs into its fold. If the deal is finalised, the BJP will be in a position to form a government in Delhi. Delhi is currently under president's rule, following the resignation of Arvind Kejriwal, leader of AAP, after a two-month tumultuous tenure.
The BJP is short of four seats. With six Congress MLAs and two Independents in their pocket, the party can comfortably stake claim to form the government. The final decision will be taken only after the Parliament session, according to BJP sources.
"We will consider it (formation of government) provided Lt Governor Najeeb Jung calls us," Satish Upadhyay, state BJP chief, said after meeting party MLAs. The BJP has been trying to win over or buy out Congress and AAP MLAs over the last month. Finally their efforts seem to have borne fruit. Read more
