Union minister and BJP leader Prakash Javadekar on Monday took a jibe at Congress president Rahul Gandhi saying 'Congress means jhooth and Rahul means Rafale fail'. The barb came minutes after Gandhi admitted via an affidavit submitted in the Supreme Court that his Rafale remarks were wrongly attributed to the apex court.

"Today the Congress president has apologised in front of the apex court and agreed that he had told a lie. Congress means jhoot, and Rafale means Rahul fail. They are telling a lie, one lie ends, other starts, whatever respect they had before, they are losing it," said Javadekar.

Javadekar said the Congress was engaged in a misinformation campaign out of frustration against the Narendra Modi-led government as it has been a corruption free five-year rule.

The union minister said BJP will win more than 300 seats in the Lok Sabha elections and will bag more than 42 seats of the total 48 seats in Maharashtra. ''PM Modi is hard working and an honest leader and the people of India strongly feel that he should be given yet another term. People have witnessed a transformation in the country in last five years,'' he added.

Javadekar ridiculed the opposition's move to form Mahagathbandhan against BJP saying that it does not exist. ''Opposition parties are scattered and they are a frustrated lot. By making complaints against electronic voting machine, the opposition parties are finding out a cause for their defeat.''
