Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday described the Lokpal Bill passed in the Parliament as weak and said there is no dispute between him and veteran social activist Anna Hazare

“The Lokpal that has been passed is very weak and everybody should make an effort to improve it further. We don’t have any disputes with Anna and we will together improve this law further,” he said

On his campaign to know the decision of the Delhi people regarding the government formation, he said, “We are not just using social media. There will be meetings with the public. We will go to 25 lakh houses and distribute letters. We are undertaking an extensive exercise.

“Earlier, parties used to have closed door meetings. Briefcase full of cash were given and taken. This was one type of politics. Now there is another type, where we will directly consult the public. We will visit people and ask them about their opinion. Whether we should form government or not? Or whether we should take outside support of other parties?” he added

“This is true democracy, where people have been asked about their views,” he said

Kejriwal claimed that his party has received more than 4 lakh messages in the last 24 hours.

“We are looking for unique numbers, as one person can send many messages. We will select only Delhi numbers,” he said.

Responding to questions about his party evading the responsibility to form the government in Delhi, he said, “We didn’t get the full mandate, as were eight short of majority. Now the Congress is offering us support, which we don’t want to take. We are not running away. If today the public say that we should form government with the Congress’s support, then we will definitely form the government.

“I don’t know how Nitin Gadkari can say that Naxals carry out polling. Naxals carry out gun firing not polling. Let them say whatever they want. They indulge in politics sitting in their AC fitted rooms,” he added.
