The southern and western districts of West Bengal are likely to receive isolated heavy rainfall in the next five days owing to an active monsoon trough, the Met department said here today.

"Monsoon trough is passing through the southern and western districts of West Bengal and as a result of that, isolated places in this region are likely to receive heavy rains in the next five days," regional Met director G K Das said.
