Asserting that all Madrasas across the country have been giving lessons on peace, chairperson of Madhya Pradesh Madrasa Board Syed Imauddin on Saturday said he did not know if the same was followed in the Muslim schools of Jammu and Kashmir.

?I say it with full responsibility that all the Madrasas have been giving lessons on peace and will continue to do so. I can say this for the Madrasas all across the country, except for the ones in Jammu and Kashmir. I don?t know what is happening there,? Imauddin told ANI.

Imauddin further informed that they were adding a new lesson in their syllabus which would teach the students the importance of loving one?s own country.

?We are introducing a syllabus on the topic ?Watan se mohabbat ka Islam mein kya mahatva hai' (Importance of loving one?s own country in Islam). One should love his country, his soil,? he added.

The chairperson further said that loving one?s country was not just social responsibility, but also one?s religious duty.

Imauddin further opined that every educational institute should include such courses which help in imparting moral values in today?s time.

Imauddin further praised Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan citing he was their inspiration.

?Our Chief Minister inspires us all. He has put an example of bringing about great development in a state. He has worked for all irrespective of caste or religion. He is our inspiration,? he said.
