Kolkata: Quest mall refuses entry to man for wearing dhoti, relents after he speaks English!

A man was not allowed to enter Quest Mall, located in Park Circus area of Kolkata for wearing Dhoti. Bengali actress Debaleena Sen recalled the shocking incident which happened to her friend on Facebook. The post has already gone viral, with people sharing it and expressing strong views against the shopping mall for such discriminatory behaviour. 

According to Debaleena, the guards outside the mall stopped the person from entering owing to his attire and asked his supervisors and only allowed him in, when he spoke to them in English. Inside the mall, the authorities and the manager cleared their stance that they don't allow people with dhoti or lungi to enter. Debaleena was also asked to refrain from recording the entire incident. Facing disdain from Quest mall staffers, Debaleena and her friends walked out.

Earlier also, there was massive outrage after eminent Kolkata restaurant Mocambo refused to allow entry to a person, as he was the driver of a patron. It led to Mocambo facing wrath on social media.
