Fourteen days after the Crime Branch (CB) filed a charge-sheet in the Kathua rape and murder case, two of the accused police officials have approached the Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) High Court, demanding a CBI probe into the incident.
Sub-inspector Anand Dutta and special police officer (SPO) Deepak Kumar Khujaria filed a petition in the J&K High Court on Monday. The duo sought a CBI probe. "There are number of grounds on which we have filed the petition. For instance, the crime scene was fiddled with and there are glaring differences in the two post-mortem reports," said Veenu Gupta, counsel of Dutta and Khujaria.
Meanwhile, Chief judicial magistrate Kathua rejected the bail application of the juvenile accused in the rape and murder case of the tribal girl.
