Full Election Commission bench arrives to review poll-preparedness in West Bengal

 The full bench of Election Commission on Wednesday arrived in Kolkata to review the poll preparedness in West Bengal ahead of the upcoming assembly elections next year.

"We are here to undertake review of some poll-preparedness," Zaidi, who is leading the poll panel, told reporters at the NSC Bose International Airport on their arrival here from Delhi.
State's Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Sunil Gupta received Zaidi, who was accompanied by the two Election Commissioners A K Joti and O P Rawat, at the airport. 

The three-member poll panel would hold a series of review meetings on Thursday with political parties, senior government officials and district administrations before initiating measures for the state's assembly election due next year, the CEO's office said here. The entire affair would be followed by a press conference on Thursday, the CEO's office said.
