Dr. Subhash Chandra discusses if India has truly attained independence

The Chairman of Essel Group and ZEE reached SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai for the new episode of 'Dr. Subhash Chandra Show'. Dr Chandra, in his latest episode, addressed a group of students and teachers and discussed whether India and its people have attained independence in its true sense. 

Dr. Chandra started the discussion with a very poignant question that asked if we have attained social or economic independence till now?

Talking about the two versions of India, Dr. Chandra said, "India and Bharat are two different entities now. People still do not have basic facilities in rural areas while we sit in the luxury of our homes in the urban India. People in rural areas do not even have facilities to attain education, there are not enough schools and resources."

Dr. Chandra further said that India will get true independence when every citizen in the country uses his/her time to contribute something positive in our society. 

He said, "We do not celebrate patriotism and the people who are patriotic and do something good for the country and our society. Media should celebrate them, that will help us in gaining ture patriotism. "
