A senior Delhi government officer and a leader of Purvanchal Yuva Morcha of Delhi BJP on Sunday lodged police complaints against each other in connection with a brawl in Shalimar Bagh area of north east Delhi.

Bhushan Malhotra, a Deputy Secretary with Law Department of Delhi government, alleged that his neighbour Prabhakar Pandey and his sons, Vishal and Monty, thrashed him when he was parking his vehicle at around 8 PM.
"Prabhakar and his sons Vishal and Monty thrashed me accusing me of registering a complaint of their borewell which was seized by the MCD," Malhotra said.

However, Vishal, president of Shalimar Bagh unit of Purvanchal Yuva Morcha of Delhi BJP, charged Malhotra of "abusing" his father and "threatening" them. "We have received complaints from both sides and looking into it for further action," a senior police officer said.
