Union minister Thawar Chand Gehlot today said the Centre is working for the welfare of differently-abled people and providing them support to make them self-reliant.

The Union minister of social justice and empowerment said the government is providing the a loan on four per cent interest rate to differently-abled people to encourage them in entrepreneurship.

Aid and support are being provided to differently-abled people so that they can lead their life with ease, he said while addressing an empowerment camp at Nagaur.

Gehlot said the government has held 5,225 camps in the last three years and helped 6.50 lakh differently-abled people by providing them various aid and equipment.

Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution C R Chaudhary, Rajasthan transport minister Yunus Khan and others were also present on the occasion.
