The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Phase II examination on Sunday.
The NEET is a national level medical entrance test that is conducted to screen and shortlist candidates for admission to different medical and dental academic programmes across the country.
As per reports, approximately 4.7 lakh have registered to appear for the examination at various centres across the nation.
The Lok Sabha earlier on July 19 passed the Indian Medical Council (Amendment) Bill 2016 and the Dentists (Amendment) Bill 2016 to replace the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) ordinance.
With the ongoing tension in Jammu and Kashmir, the state government has recently established special facilitation centres for the candidates for proper conduct of the examination.
The final results for NEET will be released on August 17.
The counseling session for the NEET candidates would begin from August 18 till September 30.
