Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking his help in resolving the ongoing war between the AAP government and the Centre.

The letter was written in the backdrop of a PIL filed in the apex court between the Central and the Delhi government. While the PIL was dismissed by the Supreme Court, the bench had also taken cognisance of the differences between both the governments.

In his letter, Kejriwal said issues between the Delhi and central government must be resolved and that he is 'willing to walk an extra mile' to achieve it.

"I don't believe there is any issue which can't be resolved by two well meaning governments in the interest of Delhi. All that is required is a little open mindedness and primacy for the welfare of the people of Delhi," the letter stated.

"There are so many things which have happened during the past seven months that have never happened in 23 years of democratic tradition in the National Capital Territory in Delhi," Kejriwal wrote, citing instances such as the Centre's decision to take over the Delhi government's anti-corruption branch and the LG's recent memo issued to officers not to follow Delhi Government's orders, as examples.

On Monday, the Delhi Cabinet had decided to seek advice from the MHA on rules allowed Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung to declare the orders of the elected city government illegal and if the LG can issue such memos to the government.

Last week, Kejriwal had written to Modi, stating that the fight between the Centre and Delhi government can wait for two months, and that they should collectively focus on fighting Dengue in Delhi first.

On the other hand, Jung on Tuesday, said he will conduct surprise visits to various places in Delhi to check the preparedness for prevention of dengue.

He will also visit Delhi Metro construction sites to see the preparedness in checking breeding of mosquito larvae.
