A day after Income Tax (I-T) authorities ascertained Rs130 crore of unaccounted assets with former BJP member and AAP MLA Kartar Singh Tanwar, dna has accessed details of the jigsaw puzzle being pieced together by I-T sleuths. During their raids and seizures at Tanwar's premises, investigators have also stumbled upon the names of a prominent Delhi based jeweler and a local BJP councilor.

Tanwar who owns substantial amount of land in Delhi, allegedly made huge cash transactions for land deals without paying tax on them. The transactions were then masqueraded as unsecured loans through a string
of fake business entities. One of them of prime interest to I-T investigators is Rose Greenland Private Limited. The AAP MLA floated this company in 2012 with an office in Delhi's South Extension locality. The company is engaged in the business of buying and selling of land and property in the national Capital.

Tanwar, who still continues to hold a 15% stake in the company, seems to have signed documents that masked many of the illicit cash transactions done for various land deals. In its three years of existence, Rose Greenland Private Limited had no revenue. Despite being shown as an active business, it neither had any staff and barelya few thousand rupees as running expenses.

Off the various undisclosed cash transactions, almost Rs 5crore was routed through Rose Greenland Private Limited. Company documents reveal that in its very year of operation, Tanwar along with two otherindividuals pumped in almost Rs 4.7 crore in transactions that wereshown as unsecured loans given by the three men. I-T sources say that

this was black money as no tax was paid on it.Documents show that in addition to Tanwar, a Delhi based BJP councilorRamesh Ambawat as having 'loaned' Rs 2 crore to the company. It may be
noted that Tanwar was a member of the BJP before contesting the Delhi assembly elections in 2014 on an AAP ticket. Phone calls made to Ambawat and Tanwar went unanswered.

Also figuring in the list of people who 'loaned' money to Tanwar's dubious company is prominent Delhi based jeweler and regional chairman of the Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council, Anil Sankhwal.

Sankhwal along with his brother own half the stake in Rose Greenland. He allegedly routed Rs2 crore through the company. I-T sleuths areprobing whether these were proceeds of land deals for which hugepayments were made in cash without payment of tax or stamp duty.Sankhwal told dna over the phone, "I have nothing to do with this. Ideal with hundreds of people and he is just one of them" The Rs 4.7 crore of 'black money' that was legitimised through Rose Greenland between 2013 to 2015, was used to purchase land in Delhi.

Documents reveal two parcels of land being owned by the company. Both of them located at Jaunpur village, adjoining the swish locality ofChattarpur in Delhi. While one of them is shown to be valued at aroundRs 40 lakh, the other parcel is valued at Rs 4.3 crore. Investigators believe that much more cash changed hands than the amount shown in the books of Rose Greenland.

Meanwhile the opposition BJP, despite one of its councilors involved in Tanwar's deals, asked AAP to reveal whether Tanwar's 'black money'had been used to fund the party. AAP spokesperson Raghav Chaddha said,
"Our party discloses all donations to the government and to the necessary authorities." However, the list of donors on the website of AAP had been taken off. The party spokesperson attributed this to "redesign of the website."
