13 years after the attack on the Sabarmati Express near Godhra railway station, which precipitated the Gujarat riots, police have arrested another man accused of taking part in the train carnage.
The arrested, Farooq Dantiya, had been hiding in Godhra for 13 years, but has managed to evade arrest, says a report in an English daily. Police sources told the daily that Dantiya used to change his look and names frequently, and always used to stay on the outskirts of the town. Godhra has a population of just two lakhs, so this is quite a feat.
Dantiya's arrest comes after the arrest of four Godhra train attack accused in the past three months. Police sources all these men have been named in the FIR filed long ago, but have been caught only now.
