Govinda is quite upset with reports that suggest that his daughter Narmmadaa will finally make her debut opposite Punjabi superstar Gippy Grewal.

He doesn't just deny the news, but also expresses concern over "unfounded" stories. "It hurts me because it hurts my child. There are repeated announcements about Narmmadaa's debut which turn out to be untrue. These hurt her personally and jeopardize her career prospects. We have waited a long for her debut. We are in no hurry to see her sign her first film. We'll wait as long as it takes to find the best possible vehicle for her."

He adds, "She has learnt to be patient. I can understand her feelings. It's not nice to be constantly reminded about something she is waiting for."

PAPA PRACTISES PATIENCE, TOO!
Patience is a virtue Govinda himself practises as he readies for the release of his home production Abhinay Chakra, postponing the film's release, originally due August-end, to "improve the product" after his team saw the edited film and thought the action scenes needed to be boosted. There's buzz that he will call in Hollywood technicians to work on these scenes.

Without giving much away, he says, "I am in no hurry to release my film. A few weeks' delay won't make any difference to me in terms of finances. But it would make a world of a difference to the end-product."
