No bikini for Zarin Khan

Actress Zarin Khan has received a lot of flak for her puppy fat avatar during her debut film, Veer. But that was in the past. Since then, Zarin has apparently lost a lot of weight and was aiming to lose some more when she bagged a role in a film that is due for release.

Sources say that the actress was so excited to be a part of this film, the previous installment of which saw the lead female actors show off their bikini perfect bodies on screen.

"Zarin knew that she would have to work on her body if she wanted to match up to the hype. So she started gymming regularly and even charted out a strict diet to achieve her target," says the source. Her newly acquired figure gave her the confidence to agree to sport a bikini in her upcoming film.

"Zarin went on a liquid diet and worked extra-hard to get those desired curves for this flick," reveals an insider. However, all the sweat and toil Zarin put into her newly acquired figure was put in the backburner because when it came to actually shooting for the sequence where she had to wear the bikini, Zarin apparently chickened out.

"Zarin has a 'family' image and she decided that wearing a two-piece will go against her girl-next-door image, which is very important to her. Zarin was in two minds, and she took the final call when her friends in the industry also advised her against too much skin show on the big screen," says the source.
