If the first few trailers of Assassin's Creed got you excited about the 'Leap of Faith', you will be pushed over the edge (pun definitely intended) when you see Michael Fassbender's Callum Lynch go back in time to 15th Century Spain.

In the new trailer, released for the movie based on one of the most popular games by Ubisoft, characters played by Marion Cotillard and Jeremy Irons want Lynch to bring back the knowledge and skills of his ancestor Aguilar, who was one of the deadliest assassins during the era of the Spanish inquisition.

In the trailer, when Lynch is in the lab, he goes up and down and round and round attached to the machine which takes his memories back in time. When he is out in the time bygone, there are weapons flying all over the place which all the assassins are either trying to wield or defend themselves from.

According to a report in Entertainment Weekly, Fassbender never played the game until he was cast in the movie. He really got into it to understand the physicality of Callum Lynch/Aguilar. He also said, "We’re striving to find something special. We believe the whole concept around it is special and want to service that the best we can. The fans are really passionate, very specific, and they expect accuracy and historical detail. We’re really trying to capitalise and feed on and enjoy the fun element. We’re working hard to make this something special."
