Janet Jackson announces her 2015 plans on Twitter

Singer Janet Jackson has announced a new album and world tour later in 2015.

The 49-year-old singer announced the news on Twitter after desperate fans called for a musical return, reported Digital Spy.

Jackson said, "This year, new music, new world tour, a new movement. I've been listening. Let's keep the conversation going."

The singer's 11th studio album will act as a follow up to 2008's Discipline. Jackson was last active in 2011 with her Number Ones, Up Close and Personal world tour.
