Irrfan Khan set to join Tom Hanks in 'Inferno'

Irrfan Khan has been added to the star cast of upcoming movie 'Inferno' with Tom Hanks. Also joining the cast will be French actor Omar Sy, known for his role in The Intouchables.

According to Hollywood Reporter, Sidse Babett Knudsen has joined the cast with Sy and Khan and will play the director of the World Health Organization. Khan will portray the Provost, the head of a shadowy group that becomes involved with Langdon, while Sy will play the leader of a disease prevention team.

Michael De Luca and Andrea Giannetti will oversee the project for Columbia, which will release the thriller on Oct. 14, 2016.
