KJO made the guest list
Interestingly, it was Karan Johar who made the guest list for the party. And, considering half of Bollywood is always hanging out in the Dharma office, it took less than an hour to get confirmations.
Hrithik was present!
There has been speculation that Hrithik Roshan was missing from the bash because he had not been invited. However, that is far from the truth. The actor attended the party, but since he lives in the same building as Akshay the paps who were waiting outside the building couldn’t catch him. It was indeed sporting of Hrithik to go the party, given his film Mohenjo Daro had clashed with Rustom.
Sona’s selfie tricks
Meanwhile, Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha who are not on talking terms since they broke off after Tevar, were present at the bash. KJo took it upon himself to get the two exes together for a picture. He made them take a selfie, which they did reluctantly. That did break the ice, reveals the insider, but Sona later put up a picture of hers with Akshay and Twinkle on social media, but not the one with Arjun.
Sidharth was missing
The bash was attended by a lot of GenNext stars like Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor to name a few. This is the first time the Khiladi has bonded with the young actors. Otherwise, he has always stuck to his filmmakers and contemporaries. Sidharth Malhotra, the only actor with whom Akshay has worked, was missing because he is travelling to promote Baar Baar dekho.
Riteish, Sajid skipped it
Akshay’s close friends Sajid Khan and Riteish Deshmukh skipped the bash as they had a early morning shoot for a TV show that both are doing together. That’s why they ditched Will!
Akshay usually goes to bed at 10 pm, but that night he stayed up till 4 am, even though Will Smith left at midnight.
