The popular '90s show Hip Hip Hurray will be back, albeit on the digital platform. A Zee digital's initiative it is being produced in collaboration with Lost Boy Productions. A modern, coming-of-age teenage story the series highlights the peer pressure, sexual desires, romance, exams and young adult dramas. With the most popular faces of TV donning the characters, Hip Hip Hurray is all set to be rebooted! A dekko at the actors who play important roles in the series.
Krisanne Barretto:
She made her debut in the popular show Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan and has appeared in episodics of Heroes, The Fightback Files and Yeh Hai Aashiqui. She plays Anushree in the series. A bit orthodox in her thoughts, she is most balanced of the lot. New entrant to the school, she feels out of place, but doesn't ever feel the need to fit in any groups. Extremely hard-working and good in her studies she makes sure she achieves whatever she wants!
Anshuman Malhotra:
He starred in Haider as the young Shahid Kapoor and has done shows like Warrior High. He plays the anti-hero Siddharth in the series. Extremely self-centred, life is just a party for him. His bucket list comprises girls he aspires to bed - in short he is a sex-freak! He eventually falls in love with Anushree the girl who slapped him at first sight.
Rohan Shah:
Rohan started his career with serials like Humse hai life, and starred in several episodics like Gumrah and Yeh hai Aashiqui. He plays his namesake Rohan, an introvert, a socially awkward guy who is Siddharth's confidant. He is confused about his sexual orientation.
Shweta Bajpai:
She acted in the film My Friend Pinto and was also seen in the TV show Warrior High. In Hip Hip Hurray, she plays a super rich girl Tasha whose parents are separated. She has major trust issues and is a bit consicous about her looks. All her life she has envied her super hot mom who has a good-looking boyfriend - divorced and with one daughter. Tasha is in love with her step-dad and and confuses that with her envious nature towards her mother!
