George Clooney, Amal Alamuddin wedding gets 'The Simpsons' treatment

Media frenzy and its obsession with documenting every detail of George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin's wedding turned the occasion into a landmark event in pop culture. So it was perhaps inevitable that the couple's wedding would get The Simpsons treatment. 

Italian designer and artist aleXsandro Palombo was so inspired by the Venice wedding of Clooney and Alamuddin that he drew them in the animation style characteristic of the long-running comedy The Simpsons, bright yellow skin et al.

The illustrations show Clooney in his Armani wedding tux and Alamuddin in her Oscar de la Renta dress. The detailed  illustrations show the couple being driven on a ferry by Homer Simpson through Venice's Grand Canal. They also include a series of portraits of Alamuddin in the various striking outfits she wore through the wedding weekend.
