Game of Thrones season 7 official poster is here and it teases a fight between Daenerys Targaryen's dragons and the army of the Night King.

Ahead of the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, where the show has become a regular, HBO unveiled the first official season poster and hashtag campaign.

The relatively simple image still has no release date. But it is being speculated that the season premiere will happen sometime in June this year.

The image follows closely on the heels of some fanart that has been making round during the hiatus for the fandom.

Showrunners David Benioff and DB Weiss will be the part of a panel discussion at SXSW on March 12 with actors Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams who play Sansa and Arya Stark, respectively.

At the festival, HBO has also planned interactive challenges to promote their shows Silicon Valley, Veep, and Game of Thrones

Visitors will have complete challenges to get to the next room and then finally escape.

HBO has already teased images from the upcoming season in two different 'In-Production' videos. The first one, which aired in November ahead of a Westworld episode, featured Stark kids in the North. The second promo released ahead of a Big Little Lies episode, showed Lena Heady get ready to play Cersei Lannister.

I want to speculate that the new poster also indicates the union between Jon Snow and Mother of Dragons. What other theories have you come up with?
