The year is almost over. There have been many important releases this year. Some films worked, some didn't. Here's looking at the Box office performance for this year.

2014 has every big actor's film releasing.  Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn.

On one hand, it was Salman Khan's 'Jai Ho' which under-performed, raking in approximately  Rs 110 crore, which is comparatively low, by Salman Khan's box-office numbers. But then 'Kick' came and smashed figures crossing the Rs 200 crore mark with ease.

Akshay Kumar too set records with 'Holiday' which even crossed Salman's 'Jai Ho' collections but then 'Entertainment' did average business.

Kangana Ranaut too lasted one hit and one failure. 'Queen' was a smash hit which took us by surprise. The film raked in around Rs 60 crore, which is huge for a small budget film like this. But 'Revolver Rani' let her down with a dismal box office performance.

Karan Johar had two hits with '2 States' and 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.' Ekta Kapoor had three hits With 'Ek Villain' , 'Ragini MMS' and 'Main Tera Hero'.

Rani Mukerji's 'Mardaani' and Ajay Devgn's 'Singham Returns' are still raking in the money. Now there are three big releases- Hrithik Roshan's 'Bang Bang', Shah Rukh Khan's 'Happy New Year' and Aamir Khan's 'PK' coming up in the last quarter. So one can expect all records to be broken.
