Before Baahubali released in July 2015, people didn't apprehend the storm it will bring at the box office. Now, with the immense euphoria and buzz surrounding the second part, it's a given that the sequel which also answers the film's biggest mystery, will rake a tsunami at the ticket counters this Friday.

Trade analysts and exhibitors are looking forward to the huge box office bonanza that will bring some relief to Indian cinema, especially after the month and half long lull post Badrinath Ki Dulhania. We spoke to some of them who told us what the first day estimates would be.

Firstly, we have to understand that Baahubali: The Conclusion has a few advantages working for it. The film is high on anticipation because the masses absolutely loved the first instalment which did around Rs 650 crore business worldwide. Secondly, the film will be answering the best kept secret till date - Why Katappa killed Baahubali and although it will be out on social media once the first show is over, this would hardly hamper the film's growth at the box office because if you loved the VFX in the first part, SS Rajamouli has upped his game even more this time. Thirdly, it's the biggest release in Indian cinema till date. The film hits over 6000 screens in India itself and will completely whitewash the other releases that have had very little to do at the ticket counters in the last few weeks.

With all this working in favour of the Rajamouli film, we spoke to an exhibitor who told us what the first day should be like. "Baahubali 2 will be huge and it will cross everyone's expectations. We can be sure of it once the advance booking starts but if I'm not wrong, it will bring in at least Rs 85 crore plus gross in its first day itself. The film is mainly shot in Telugu which is a huge market and given the craze in Hyderabad, the film will easily collect over Rs 25-27 crore from the region. That means it will have a gross figure of around Rs 35 crore alone from its Telugu version itself."

He added, "Then, there is the Hindi version and Baahubali is a pan-India catering film. The Hindi dubbed version alone will mostly bring in another Rs 24-25 crore nett alone. The gross figures will be around Rs 32-33 crore alone from its Hindi version. The film will gross another Rs 20-22 crore from its other dubbed versions - Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. In short, it will definitely see a gross opening of around Rs 85-90 crore on day 1 and it will definitely turn out to be the biggest opener in Indian cinema."

Note:
For people who don't know, the gross figure is the collective sum of the ticket value sold at all the theatres. Nett figure is the actual sum the makers receive which is minus the entertainment tax
