Bobby Deol-Mugdha Godse starrer 'Help' to release on July 9

Bollywood actor Bobby Deol's first ever horror thriller flick Help will be released on July 9.

In the film, Bobby is paired opposite Mugdha Godse.

The lead pair will be in  Colombo for the IIFA Weekend where the first look of the film will be unveiled.

Directed by debutant director Rajeev Virani and produced by Sanjay Ahluwalia and Vinay Choksey, Help was shot in Mauritius and Mumbai for a schedule of 45 days spread over a period of eight months.

Bobby said he was very excited about his new film and the new look in the film. "The film is great and technically very sound. I believe in it in all ways and hope that the audiences will like the film too," he said.

He said the film was a supernatural horror that draws upon the story of a malevolent spirit that refuses to leave the human world.

Bobby plays the protagonist Vic who is a successful horror film director in Bollywood and is married to Pia (Mugdha Godse). Pia and Vic are having marital problems and in the midst of their troubled marriage, they have to rush to Mauritus to visit Pia's ailing father.

"There's something ancient and dark that remains still, hidden and silent in the old house where Pia grew up. having been concealed in the shadows for years, all it wants to do is to strike again. As the darkness spreads, things start to get worse and the spirit tries to annihilate everything, Director Rajiv Virani said.

Rajiv said the story dwells on whether their love gathers the strength to survive the malevolent spirit or will they witness the most horrifying truths of their lives in a doomed attempt to save everything and everyone that means anything to both of them.

Mugdha said Help is one of the finest films of her career till date. "I am hoping it will be a big leap for me as an actor. Rajeev has done some fantastic job with the direction and it is a horror film in a true sense. I am sure people will like the film and believe that 'Help' is an authentic gruesome horror flick," she said.
