Treat your body right

The trick to maintaining it is persistence and dedication. Also, watching what you eat and having a healthy lifestyle does help too. Fitness, for me, is a lifestyle choice. It really is a choice you have to make some time in your life. You have to either choose to be fit and adapt it as a way of life or choose to be unfit. It’s more about how you treat your body than how you look. How you look is a by-product of how you live your life.

Combination workouts

My workout consists of a combination of weight training, calisthenics and yoga (ashtanga). There are three days a week that I only practice ashtanga.

Diet rotations

I try to maintain a diet that has high protein, high fibre and moderate or low carbs. The trick is to not let your body get used to one particular diet or exercise.

School sportsman

I was an athlete in school and indulged in outdoor sports. I did play basketball, volleyball and squash but my main area of interest was track and field. I won the gold medal in shot-put five consecutive years in school. I don’t get the time to play any sport now but I do swim whenever I have the time.

Blessed to have Bips

Post marriage my workout routine has not changed at all. It’s really a blessing from the universe to have a partner like Bipasha. In more ways than I can say. It really does help a lot when your partner follows a lifestyle similar to your own. We often share new knowledge attained by either of us on new kinds of workouts and diets.

Giving marathons a shot

I’ve never run a marathon but I would definitely like to give it a shot. I do know of the DNA iCan Half Marathon. I think it’s a great initiative.
