Anurag Basu BREAKS SILENCE on delay of Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif starrer 'Jagga Jasoos'

Earlier this morning we informed you that the much anticipated Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer Jagga Jasoos may have a new release date which the makers may announce soon. The reason for this further delay being, few lines of some of the 29 songs in the film remain to be shot.

A source revealed to us that a temple set is being now constructed in Film City where a song antara will be picturised on Ranbir and Katrina at the end of the month. In the film, Ranbir’s character stammers and uses songs to replace dialogue. But now, Anurag Basu has come out to give his reason for the delay in the film's release.

Apparently, the team is gearing up for the film's release on April 7, but since it's a family holiday film and exams are pushed at most of the places, the makers are thinking about a possible delay in the film's release if they get a better date. Anurag Basu took to his Twitter account to announce the same. He tweeted, "#JaggaJasoos is a Family Holiday film Since exams r pushed at most of the places
We r contemplating the delay Only IF v get a better Date" adding that "But for now team is getting ready for 7th April."

Not only this, when a fan expressed her disappointment writing, "this is the height of disrespect and dishonesty with fans. we understand a little delay but this is just unprofessional" Basu retorted by tweeting, "@bombayseoul Sorry to disappoint you..Ignore us ,You will not miss anything in life if you dont watch Jagga Jasoos."
