Director's Rohit Shetty's action-drama 'Singham Returns' has made it to the Rs 100 crore club in just five days after its release. The movie stars Ajay Devgn in the lead role of 'Bajirao Singham', who is a cop fighting against evil in society.
This is Ajay Devgn's first movie to get the highest opening in India as well as abroad. Since its release, 'Singham Returns' has been hitting the ticket-window hard, which has led it to cross the Bollywood's 100-crore mark.
The action-drama is Devgn's fifth Bollywood flick that has marched across the 100-crore mark after 'Golmaal 3', 'Bol Bachchan', 'Son of Sardar' and 'Singham (2011)'
The director Rohit Shetty, best known for his action sequences, has had a great record of drawing audiences to the cinema halls. His last movie, Chennai Express with Shah Rukh Khan, also turned out to be a mega blockbuster.
On the micro blogging site Twitter, movie critic Taran Adarsh tweeted:

'Singham Returns' starring Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles -- was released on Independence Day.
