Sultan has been unstoppable at the box office and Salman Khan's possibly unshakeable as the box office Emperor. Salman Khan-Anushka Sharma starrer Sultan released last Wednesday and in merely 7 days flat, the film has raked in over Rs 200 crore already. Sultan has already amassed Rs 208.82 crore at the domestic box office and is nearing the 400 crore mark worldwide. It is all set to turn Salman Khan's biggest blockbuster till date. With positive reviews pouring in and the film getting a good repeat audience, it will soon enter the 300 crore club as well. Will it cross Aamir Khan's PK? Let's see.

The film outperformed in the mass circuits and collections in the interior regions were fantastic too. As a result of this, the collections have been unprecedented and Salman's blockbuster film has already smashed a few existing records. Here are 13 of them.

Widest release ever!
The film was released across 5000 screens in India along with another additional 1200 screens across the world. That means the film released in over 6000 screens worldwide, which is the highest for any Hindi film ever.

Highest advance bookings ever!
Usually, advance bookings for any superstar's film begins way before the film hits screens. For Sultan, it began almost a week before it released worldwide. While Salman held the record for the highest advance bookings, something in the range of Rs 15-16 crore for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, with Sultan, he broke his own record. Sultan had an unprecedented advance booking of around Rs 22-23 crore, which is the biggest so far.

Highest opener of 2016!
2016 has been a rather dull year for Bollywood films. With most big films fizzling out, it was up to Salman Khan to bring in some respite. And he did. Despite the shift in Eid's date, the film amassed a whopping Rs 36.54 crore on its opening day, which is by far the highest this year. The previous best was Shah Rukh Khan's Fan which opened at around Rs 19.20 crore.

Second highest single day collections
Sultan could not break the highest single day collection record. While it's his Prem Ratan Dhan Payo's Rs 39 crore opening day that holds the record, Sultan netted in around Rs 38 crore on Saturday. Sunday figures are still coming in and needs to be seen if the film breaks PRDP's record.

Fastest 100 crore!
Along with Chennai Express, Happy New Year, Dhoom 3, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Sultan also entered the 100 crore club in just 3 days.

Highest 3-day collections ever!
The film entered the 100 crore club in 3 days. But it also recorded the highest three-day collections with Rs 105.32 crore in its kitty in the first 3 days. That means it also overtook Bajrangi Bhaijaan's previous record of Rs 102 crore.

Highest collections in Pakistan!
The film created a storm in the neighbouring country. Salman Khan enjoys huge popularity in Pakistan and the results have been incredible. Sultan is the only film which broke past the 4 crore mark in Pakistan on a given day. The film has been consistently raking in around Rs 3 - 4 crore on a daily basis there.

Highest domestic opening weekend ever!
Aamir Khan's Dhoom 3 had the record for the highest opening weekend ever. Dhoom 3 too released on a Wednesday and enjoyed a 5-day opening weekend much like Sultan. While D3 collected somewhere around Rs 165-170 crore in 5 days, Sultan smashed all pre-existing records and netted in over Rs 180 crore in the same number of days.

Highest grosser of 2016!
As we already mentioned, the year so far has not been too great, revenue wise. The YRF film overtook Akshay Kumar's Airlift to become the highest grosser of 2016 so far. And it's only been 5 days.

10th highest worldwide grosser already
The film's stupendous performance worldwide has already given it a place in the top 10 worldwide grosser's list. In merely 5 days flat, Sultan has entered the coveted list and it will only go up on the list with more days passing by. Right now, it has raked in Rs 345 crore worldwide. The other films on the list are as follows:
PK - 741 crore, Bajrangi Bhaijaan - 604 crore, Dhoom 3 - 539  crore, Chennai Express - 396 crore, 3 Idiots - 391 crore, Dilwale  - 372 crore, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo - 365 crore, Bajirao Mastani  - 358 crore and Kick - 351 crore

Fastest film to enter 200 crore club!
Sultan has now shattered all pre-existing box office records and raced ahead of films Bakrangi Bhaijaan and Dhoom 3 to zoom into the 200 crore club. With a fantastic run at the cash counters, the film has now become the fastest to reach the 200 crore mark. PReviously, the fastest film to hit 200 was Aamir's D3 and Salman's Bajrangi Bhaijaan - both of which achieved the feat in 9 days. Sultan has done it in 7 days flat.

Highest first weekend (worldwide):
The previous best was Aamir Khan's Dhoom 3. But Sultan smashed that record in its first weekend and raked in Rs 211 crore globally in its first weekend. Point to be noted: Both Dhoom 3 and Sultan enjoyed a 5-day extended weekend.

Highest first week (worldwide):
Dhoom 3 had gate-crashed into all pre-existing records and unarguably turned out to be the biggest blockbuster then. While PK had a longer run at the plexes, D3 was a record breaking spree. Another Dhoom 3 record that Sultan broke is for the highest worldwide first week collections. D3 had amassed Rs 337 crore in its first week all over the world. Sultan easily surpassed that with figures around Rs 390-395 crore worldwide in 7 days.
